December 06 (THEWILL) – Two people died after a motorcycle collided with a truck at the Oni and Sons bus stop, off Arigbajo, along the Lagos-Abeokuta highway in the state of ‘Ogun.
The accident involved a Bajaj motorcycle registered TRE301VV and an Iveco truck registered KNN357ZY
An eyewitness said the motorcyclist’s lack of concentration caused him to lose control of the motorcycle, resulting in the crash.
Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Enforcement and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, confirmed the incident to reporters in Abeokuta.
Akinbiyi said that four people (men) were involved in the car crash where two died and two others suffered no injuries.
He stated that the cause of the accident was the lack of concentration and the loss of control of the motorcycle by the rider.
TRACE PRO said its officials and those of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, were on the ground for rescue operations
Akinbiyi added that the two corpses were deposited in the morgue of Ifo General Hospital by FRSC men.
