Motorcyclist was uninjured after a truck dragged a motorcycle several blocks from downtown

UPDATE 4:24 p.m. – Peoria firefighters said the motorcyclist was uninjured and refused treatment and transport to hospital.

A firefighter’s statement said firefighters arrived at the scene from the back of the burning semi-trailer “possibly after dragging the motorcycle several blocks.”

It took about 1,500 gallons of water to put out the blaze at two engines and a truck company.

The damage is estimated at $ 30,000.

The road is now open, according to the emergency communications center.

UPDATE 3:13 p.m. – Peoria Police Information Officer Semome Roth said the crash was caused by a motorcycle stuck under a tractor-trailer.

No injuries were reported.
