Motorcycle driver sustains fatal injuries in collision in Victorville

Sheriff’s officials are continuing to investigate a fatal motorcycle collision, which occurred at the intersection of Hesperia and Bear Valley Roads.

San Bernardino County Fire Department reported the motorcycle-to-vehicle collision just after 10:27 a.m. Friday in Hesperia.

Witnesses said the motorcycle driver was traveling on Bear Valley Road when he ran into the passenger side of an SUV.

After the collision, the pilot’s body was found lying on Bear Valley Road, while the SUV ended up on Starbucks property at the southwest corner of the intersection.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez told the Daily Press that the driver of the motorcycle was male and no information was available regarding injuries to the driver of the vehicle.

The investigation closed lanes on eastbound Bear Valley Road from Second Avenue to Hesperia Road, and northbound Hesperia Road from Sequoia to Bear Valley Roads, Hesperia Sheriff’s Station officials said.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Division has not released the identity of the deceased motorcyclist.
