SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. – Authorities responded to an accident involving a single vehicle in the begging on Mother’s Day.
The Scottsbluff Police Department said they, along with the Scottsbluff Fire Department and Valley Ambulance, were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on Sunday.
Authorities were dispatched to South Beltline Hwy West just south of West Overland for the accident.
Officials said an investigation found a 38-year-old man from Scottsbluff was riding a motorcycle southbound on S Beltline Hwy West.
The police department said the area where the motorcyclist was wrecked is where the road bends and the motorbike did not follow the curve of the road.
Authorities said this caused the driver to lay the motorcycle on its side.
Officials said the motorcycle then skidded under the guardrail wires and one of the wire support posts was broken.
The driver was transported to a local hospital.
