Mecum’s Vintage Motorcycle Auction Wins $22 Million Las Vegas Jackpot

While people were bidding on vintage cars a week ago in Arizona, others were in South Point in Las Vegas for Mecum’s 31st annual vintage and antique motorcycle auction, where sales totaled $22 million, a 21% increase from compared to the 2021 auction.

The sale saw a 93% sale as 1,221 of the 1,310 motorcycles on file went to new owners, Mecum Auctions adds.

Mecum also notes that all of the top 10 sellers achieved 6-figure prices, led by a 1938 Brough Superior SS110 that sold for $236,500 (selling prices include buyer’s expense).

“The iconic motorcycle boasted a professional restoration and the resulting awards, including People’s Choice at the San Jose Clubman Show and Best in Show at El Camino,” Mecum said.
