Johnny Depp’s 1955 Harley Davidson Model K motorcycle from the cult film Cry-Baby is up for auction with an opening bid of $250,000

The motorcycle that Johnny Depp used in the movie Cry-Baby has gone up for sale.

The motorcycle is a classic 1955 Harley Davidson Model K, according to TMZwho originally reported on the auction.

The bike is up for sale through Kruse GWS Auctions, with an opening bid set at $250,000.

Potential bidders will be required to bid in increments of $25,000 if they choose to participate in the bike ride.

The auction house also said the vehicle was used both on set in California and on location in Maryland, where many of director John Waters’ films were filmed.

The motorcycle is currently on display at a museum in Branson, Missouri, having passed through several owners over the years.

The auction house is also selling a mandolin that Janis Joplin once owned and gifted to Jimi Hendrix, which is expected to sell for $250,000.

The motorcycle and instrument are expected to be available to buyers on June 25.

Cry-Baby, directed and written by Waters, was originally released in 1990.

The film centered on a greaser from Baltimore, played by Depp, who subverted society’s expectations by falling in love with a straight-featured young girl, played by Amy Locane.

The cast was rounded out by artists such as Traci Lords, Polly Bergen, Ricki Lake and Susan Tyrrell.

Other personalities who made appearances in the film include Troy Donahue, Willem Dafoe, and Iggy Pop.

Cry=-Baby received positive reviews from critics upon its release, although it did not perform well at the box office.

It then became a cult classic and has since found a new audience with younger viewers.

Cry-Baby was later adapted into a musical which premiered on Broadway in 2008.

The project was notably nominated for four Tony Awards that year, and it received a nod for Best Musical.
