Cars and Caves returns to Chanhassen on April 30 | News from Chanhassen

Cars and Caves, the outdoor automotive extravaganza of collectibles, classics and exotics hosted by Chanhassen AutoPlex, returns for the 2022 season.

The events will take place from 8 a.m. to noon on the last Saturday of each month, starting in April and running through September, according to a news release.

Each month highlights a different local nonprofit organization. Cars and Caves is family friendly and free.

Each month, more than 300 vehicles will be driven for display at the Chanhassen AutoPlex campus. Many of the 120 unique, custom-designed condo-garages (known as “caves”) will be open to visitors.

Collector car owners are invited to attend and display their vehicle on a first-come/first-served basis.

Free on-site parking will be available to guests. Retro food truck, Kurbside Catering will sell food and drinks. Non-profit organizations will accept donations on site.

The 2022 Cars and Caves program, with featured nonprofit and auto clubs, includes:

  • April 30: cars against crime
  • May 28: Happy Tails Rescue and Cody’s Heroes
  • June 25: Works from Ronald McDonald Houses, Upper Midwest
  • July 30: Special Olympics Minnesota (Porsche North Stern Car Club Presentation)
  • August 27: Wishes and more (Ferrari Club display)
  • September 24: Chanhassen Fire Department (MG Clubs Display)
