Capitan, NM – Motorcycle crash on NM-37 kills Rosalva Valenciana

Capitan, New Mexico (September 25, 2021) – On Saturday September 18, a motorcycle accident south of Capitan killed one person and injured another.

According to first reports, a 2009 Harley Davidson was driving east on the NM-37. Near kilometer post 1, the driver lost control while trying to avoid colliding with another motorcycle in the same lane. The rider and his passenger were both thrown from the bike as a result. The passenger, Rosalva Valenciana, 52, of El Paso, Texas, died of the crash. On the spot, she was declared dead. The operator was treated on site for his injuries.

An investigation into the crash is currently underway.
