Beautiful vintage cars will fill Powys Border Park

Vintage cars, motorcycles and tractors will be on display as a popular event in the border town of Powys returns after three years due to Covid.

The 28th Kington Vintage Rally will take place at the Kington Recreation Ground on Saturday August 20th and Sunday August 21st.

Hosted by the Kington Vintage Club, the annual two-day show features all manner of classic and vintage vehicles and machinery with a grand parade down Kington’s main street on Sunday morning.

Vintage vehicle enthusiasts enjoy the queue at the Kington Vintage Show.

There will be numerous exhibits including motorcycles, tractors, steamers, cars, commercial and military vehicles and stationary engines, as well as trade stands, static displays, a selection of refreshments, fairground rides and a car boot sale.

Folk dance group Raise the Dust will perform the Appalachian dance on Saturday, while motorcycle stuntman Flyin’ Ryan will return to the show on Sunday.

The organizers of the Kington Vintage Club said: “The show would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our members and volunteers.

“After a tough few years, we can’t wait to see everyone and make it a weekend.”
