A security guard died in a motorcycle accident in Batangas
LUCENA CITY — A security guard died when he lost control of his motorbike while traveling Friday night (June 10) in the city of San Juan, Batangas province, a report said Saturday.
Batangas Police reported that Christopher Carandang, 38, was heading downtown at around 8:14 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle in Barangay (village) Nagsaulay.
The motorcycle overturned and skidded, injuring the rider. He was taken to San Juan District Hospital but died en route.
Police did not say whether the victim was wearing a crash helmet for protection, as required by the Motorcycle Helmets Act 2009.
