Hometown Heroes Ride to Benefit First Responders and Veterans

Starting at 8:30 a.m. at Adamec Harley-Davidson in St. Augustine, this police-escorted ride aims to raise money for Hometown Heroes, which will benefit first responders and military veterans in Northeast Florida in need. home modifications due to injury or illness. Registration is from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the one-hour ride begins at 10:30 a.m.

Two special performances of

Apex Theater presents ‘Aladdin Jr.’

Two performances, Saturday July 23 and Sunday July 24, of the musical “Aladdin Jr.” will feature young artists from the Penguin Project, and all roles are filled by artists with developmental disabilities, including Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, visual and hearing impairments and other neurological disorders. They will be joined on stage by a group of peer mentors.

Cars and coffee at the Classic Car Museum

Saturday morning is time for free coffee and donuts while discovering over 150 classic cars at the Classic Car Museum’s Cars & Coffee event. It takes place every fourth Saturday of the month from 8am to 10am, and it’s free.

Shine a Light 5K for Ukraine

Why not go for a run and help others at the same time? The Shine a Light 5K on Sunday, July 24 is a charity event organized by Epic-Cure that hopes to encourage the community to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. The route takes runners past Anastasia State Park and through neighborhoods, ending with a live Bold City Classics concert.

The 5K will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at the St. Augustine Amphitheater and will also end at the amphitheater, 1340C A1A S. For more information or to register, visit unation.com/event.
