40 rare supercars are up for auction this Sunday on Collecting Cars – Robb Report

Supercar Sunday is back by popular demand.

Collecting Cars is hosting another online auction this Sunday, July 3, dedicated to the world’s most valuable high-performance vehicles. The first themed sale took place in March and was a big success, according to Collecting Cars founder and CEO Edward Lovett. This time, the range includes no less than 40 collectible four-wheelers from three different continents.

“We will once again be offering global auctions for some of the world’s rarest and most sought-after supercars from Australia, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Sweden, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. “, Lovett said in a statement.

With coveted exotic cars like Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ligier, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, it’s hard to pick a lot that stands out. There are, however, a quartet of rarefied rides that piqued our interest.

Lamborghini is representing a 2016 Aventador LP700-4 Miura Homage. This special edition was one of 50 built to celebrate the Miura’s 50th anniversary. The coveted Raging Bull is one of the few examples to be finished in Verde Scandal paint with silver accents. Under the hood, it is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 good for 700 hp. Furthermore, it is presented in “like new” condition with only 240 miles on the odometer.

Another highlight comes courtesy of Prancing Horse. The 2009 Ferrari 430 Scuderia 16M in question was part of a limited production run of 499 examples. Covered in the brand’s signature Rosso Corsa paint, the speed machine is equipped with a powerful V-8, race-tuned suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes. The sleek black cabin, meanwhile, features carbon fiber accents. Best of all, the car has only done 1,056 miles from new.

Of course, you can’t have a car auction without a Porsche 911. It’s not just any 911 either. This is a 2011 997 generation GT3 RS, which is widely considered the ultimate embodiment of the model. This example is number 131 of only 600 built. It comes with a 4.0 liter flat-6 engine and less than 10,000 miles on the odometer.

We would be remiss not to mention the 2019 Ligier JS P4 on offer. The lightweight endurance racer, which looks like an actual Batmobile, is built around a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and has a full carbon body. It has a Ford V-6 mated to a 6-speed Quaife transmission with paddle shifters and can produce around 330 hp. Originally specified as a demonstration vehicle at United Autosport, it has clocked up just 18 hours of operation.

Although bidding opens on Sunday, bidding will continue until July 10. This should give you plenty of time to submit your offers.
