Kawasaki is famous for its retro-designed motorcycles like the Z900RS, and Americans have always loved them for the pleasure and fun they provide. To make the retro motorcycle series more accessible, Kawasaki released the Z650RS in 2021. The same motorcycle was also postponed to 2022. Available for sale at a starting MSRP of $ 8,999, it is also one of the Cheapest retro motorcycles on sale in the United States.
The 2022 Kawasaki Z650RS is essentially a Z650 below and comes with the same legendary 650cc parallel twin engine, known for its unmatched reliability and excellent mid-range performance. 8 Comfortable ride quality is an added benefit

5 The heat is taken care of
Heating has never been a problem with this parallel twin engine. Being in continuous production for quite some time, Kawasaki has managed to fine tune and fine tune this engine, resulting in something of extreme reliability and very low heat.
It’s a liquid-cooled engine, so the sizable radiator that’s mounted up front helps to extract heat quite well. Even though the rear braking isn’t the best we’ve experienced, the single 220mm disc brake does a good job of securing the bike. However, the initial bite is not as good as the configuration before. The front and rear are also fitted with ABS as standard.
3 The ergonomics have nothing to complain about
The ergonomics of the 2022 Z650RS is nothing to complain about, and even the tallest riders would find the bike very comfortable. The slightly forward handlebars which are also raised together with the rear footrests provide a comfortable riding position. There’s more than enough legroom too.
This allows the rider to lean forward adequately, making it a slightly sporty riding position. However, you can also sit up straight and roll around in a relaxed position. Even the passenger will also appreciate the not-so-high rear footrests and plush seats that Kawasaki offers for this retro motorcycle.
2 Excellent build quality and reliability of a Kawasaki
The 2022 Kawasaki Z650RS is unchanged from the outgoing 2021 model and therefore the overall build quality remains the same as well. Being a Kawasaki, all switchgears and other touch points are far superior to most rivals like the 2022 Royal Enfield Continental GT and the Ducati Scrambler Icon Dark. All of the switches on the handlebars have a click feel, which is a good thing.
Apart from that, the panels, the tank, the footrests, etc. feel securely assembled and offer no kind of vibrations. Being a Kawasaki, which comes with the parallel twin engine, the bike will also be extremely reliable. Many Z650 and Ninja 650 owners have reported only doing regular oil and filter changes up to the 100,000 mile mark, and the same can be expected with the Z650RS.
