Danish songstress Agnes Obel just released a new, dreamy music video for her song, “Dorian.” Since releasing her debut album Philharmonics in 2010, Obel has been known for her sparse, resonant melodies and poignant lyrics. You may know already know her music from her most famous song, “Riverside,” formed by simple piano melodies with chilling pleas for solitude and strength. According to the artist, she wrote “Dorian” not to describe a specific experience but to put a certain headspace into music. The video, compiled from beautiful footage of Maya Deren’s film ‘In The Very Eve Of Night,’ reflects this shadowy space.
